Members of the National Association of Professional Organizers – Greater Philadelphia Chapter (NAPO-GPC) volunteered at the Impact Thrift Store in Montgomeryville, PA, on January 28, 2011. Impact Thrift Stores is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to financially support local charities through the net proceeds generated by their thrift store operations. Members of the National Association of Professional Organizers – Greater Philadelphia Chapter (NAPO-GPC) volunteered at the Gilda’s Club South Jersey in Linwood, NJ, on January 24, 2011. Gilda’s Club is named in honor of comedian Gilda Radner who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1986. Gilda’s Club South Jersey offers support groups, lectures, workshops and social events as a supplement to medical care in a warm and welcoming home-like setting at 700 New Road in Linwood, NJ. Click here for the press release.

Good Morning America anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Juju Chang invited members of the National Association of Professional Organizers – Greater Philadelphia Chapter (NAPO-GPC) to promote GO (Get Organized) Month. On January 19, 28 Professional Organizers from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey boarded a bus for New York’s Time Square Studios where Good Morning America is filmed live. The Professional Organizers also got to meet Dr. Rich Besser and celebrities Valerie Bertinelli, Joan Rivers and Melissa Rivers. View Photo; Click here for the press release

NAPO-GPC invited individuals and small businesses to box up their papers and join us for our Get Organized event on March 13, 2010 from 10 am to 2 pm in the parking lot of the IKEA store in Conshohocken. Shredding trucks were provided by Wiggins Shredding, a professional service located in West Chester, PA. There were free give-a-ways, drawings to win prizes and a chance to talk one-on-one with Professional Organizers who are members of NAPO-GPC. Some lucky winners also received free in-home services from NAPO-GPC members. Click here for the press release.

The National Association of Professional Organizers-Greater Philadelphia Chapter hosted a free shredding event on February 7, 2009 at the IKEA store in Conshohocken, PA. The event included an opportunity for the general public and small businesses to shred their old paperwork with Wiggins, a professional shredding service based in West Chester, PA. Inside the store, there was a lecture series done by local Professional Organizers who shared their expert advice in various departments throughout the store.
